Highway & Bridge Planning and Design Institute, Jiangsu Transportation Research Institute (hereinafter called JSTRI) is composed of Highway & Bridge Planning and Design No. 1 Institute, Highway & Bridge Planning and Design No. 2 Institute, Highway & Bridge Planning and Design No. 3 Institute and Highway & Bridge Planning and Design No. 4 Institute. Various specialized technicians account for about 97% of the total number of employees, thus constituting a survey and design group including professor-level senior engineers, senior engineers, engineers, assistant engineers, technicians and other talented people with complete specialties and reasonable composition.
After nearly thirty years of development and inheritance, Highway & Bridge Planning and Design Institute has not only accumulated rich experience in survey and design of expressways and arterial highways in Jiangsu province, but also possessed strong technical capability for the expansion of high-grade roads and expressways in mountain and hilling terrains outside Jiangsu province. Therefore, it is capable of undertaking the planning consultancy of highway engineering (including super-large bridges), urban roads and geotechnical engineering, compilation of pre-feasibility reports and engineering feasibility reports, assessment & consultancy, survey& design, detection and maintenance appraisal of old highways and bridges, as well as scientific & technological consultancy, etc.
